Jio-Canva deal offers up to Rs 4,000 Canva Pro subscription free
Reliance Jio and Canva have partnered to give Jio users free access to Canva Pro or Canva Pro Lite for a year, starting today.
Reliance Jio and Canva Design have jointly announced a major year-long offer for Indian users. The two companies have made Canva's subscription free for Jio customers. Both Canva Pro and Canva Pro Lite, which usually cost around Rs 400, will be available completely free. The offer began on September 16, today.
The company has clearly specified what each plan will offer. Jio users on the Rs 399 plan will get free access to the full-featured Canva Pro. On plans priced Rs 349 or more that offer 2GB of data daily, users will get the Canva Pro Lite subscription free.
There are feature differences between the two subscriptions. Canva Pro Lite offers templates and fonts, while Canva Pro includes premium templates, photos, videos and fonts along with all premium elements and advanced AI tools. Lite has basic tools such as basic magic resize, magic eraser and background remover, while Pro offers the full AI suite and a higher AI credit limit. On storage, Lite offers 50GB of cloud storage while Pro offers 100GB. Lite also includes a brand kit and print-ready export, while Pro adds a content planner, or scheduling feature, along with the brand kit.
Both subscriptions share premium templates, photos, videos and fonts, as well as features such as one-tap background removal for photos and videos, print-ready export, magic resize and magic eraser. The difference is that Canva Pro offers five advanced brand kits, while Pro Lite offers three basic brand kits. Canva Pro also includes a content planner and Canva's AI chatbot, along with a higher AI usage limit and advanced AI tools.
Customers will not have to pay any extra money or hidden charges to avail this free offer. To activate it, users must first open the MyJio app on their mobile phone. In the app, they need to tap on the Canva banner or offer shown on the home page or offer section. After that, the subscription can be activated by verifying their details.
Notably, these tools can also be used in Marathi, Hindi and other Indian languages. This could make designing easier for small businesses, students and creators, and could also benefit those working in the design industry.
