Goons rob youth at air gun point in Panchpavli
Two habitual offenders robbed a youth at air gun point in Nagpur's Panchpavli area; police traced them via CCTV footage.
Nagpur. Notorious goons robbed a young man after threatening him with an air gun and assaulting him. The incident took place in the Mehendibaug area of Panchpavli.
Complainant Pankaj Kukde was standing near a country liquor shop close to Mehendibaug Power House Chowk when accused Somesh Marskolhe and Sagar Yeti came up to him and started abusing him. They assaulted him and threatened to kill him. As Pankaj began walking home, the accused approached him again. Somesh pulled out an air gun and began threatening Pankaj with it, while Sagar took cash out of Pankaj's pocket. The two then fled on a motorcycle.
Panchpavli police registered a case of robbery. Police initially had no lead on the accused. They examined CCTV footage, and based on this the accused were taken into custody. The cash, the air gun and the motorcycle used in the robbery have been recovered from them.
The accused are said to be habitual offenders. Sagar has a murder case registered against him, while Somesh is involved in 26 cases. The action was carried out by API Vivek Padghan and his team.
