Gulzar, Amit Trivedi and B Praak team up for Daayraa song Sach Ka Daayraa

Anticipation for the Bollywood film Daayraa, which marks the first on-screen pairing of actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, has reached a peak. The makers have released the film's emotional song "Sach Ka Daayraa," which is receiving a strong response from audiences.

"Sach Ka Daayraa" is not just a song but an important part of the film's story. The lyrics have been written by National Award-winning veteran lyricist Gulzar, composed by music director Amit Trivedi, and sung by B Praak. The song reflects on truth, perspective and changing circumstances, strengthening the film's emotional core.

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan described the song as the film's "emotional core," saying that Gulzar's lyrics, Amit Trivedi's music and B Praak's voice together lift the song to another level. Prithviraj Sukumaran said the song forces audiences to introspect, with its lyrics and music becoming the voice of the film's soul.

Singer B Praak said the song carries both the power of emotion and a strange silence, and balancing the two during recording was the biggest challenge. Amit Trivedi said the song needed a voice that could understand the gravity of the story, adding that B Praak's voice made Gulzar's deep lyrics even more effective.

Director Meghna Gulzar said "Sach Ka Daayraa" is a mix of restlessness, helplessness and the hope for justice. Explaining the concept of the song, Gulzar said, "Truth is never one-sided or limited to a single line. Its form keeps changing with time, circumstances and perspective, and that is what this song shows."

Directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Jungle Pictures, the film has raised audience expectations considerably. The song is currently available on all major audio platforms, while the full video can be watched on Times Music's YouTube channel. Daayraa will release in cinemas on September 18.
