Disha Salian case: Suraj Pancholi breaks silence, mentions Aditya Thackeray

After the CBI registered an FIR in the Disha Salian death case, actor Suraj Pancholi denied any link to her and named Aditya Thackeray.

The Disha Salian death case is back in the headlines after the CBI registered an FIR in the matter. Disha's father Satish Salian has made serious allegations against certain people and claimed he has evidence to back them. The names of Suraj Pancholi, Aditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Sachin Vaze, Param Bir Singh and Rhea Chakraborty have come up in the case. Actor Suraj Pancholi has now written a long post on social media laying out his side of the allegations against him.

In his post, Suraj categorically denied having any relationship with Disha Salian. He said his name is being dragged into the controversy over her death in several media reports and statements, when in reality he never met Disha Salian directly in his life, nor did he have any connection with her in any way. He said linking his name to the case in this manner is wrong and distressing.

In the post, Suraj also mentioned Aditya Thackeray. He wrote that he has never met Aditya Thackeray either. He said it is unjust for his name to be dragged into such a controversy without any evidence. He also appealed that the relevant facts should be verified before adding anyone's name to such cases.

Suraj said he stayed silent on the matter for this long because he did not intend to respond to every news report. But he said that when something keeps coming up repeatedly, there comes a point where it becomes necessary to put forward one's side. According to Suraj, the CBI and the police have questioned him before in this case, and his statement was recorded around four to five years ago. He made clear that he is ready to fully cooperate if any investigating agency needs to question him again.

Suraj Pancholi said he has nothing to hide. He said he is always available for questioning if any investigating agency needs additional information. He also said he supports a fair and thorough CBI investigation into the circumstances of Disha Salian's death.

Further in his post, Suraj also commented on the false narratives being spread on social media and in the media. He wrote that a headline alone is not evidence, a television debate cannot be taken as fact, and not everything written on social media should be believed to be true.

Meanwhile, Nilesh Ojha, the lawyer for Disha Salian's father Satish Salian, has made some serious allegations. According to his claims, Disha was gang-raped and murdered, and he claimed to have some important evidence. These allegations also mention purported information related to drugs and child trafficking.

The lawyer also made a claim regarding Disha's mobile phone. According to him, between 9 and 17 June 2020, Disha's phone was in the possession of certain people, and he alleged that the phone's data was examined during this period. However, verifying the truth of all these allegations is a matter for the investigating agencies. Suraj Pancholi ended his post by expressing faith in the law and the investigating agencies, saying, "The truth will come out eventually."
