All Ganesh mandals in Deoli police station area pledge no DJ, laser lights
Ganesh mandals under Deoli police station have given written undertakings not to use DJ-Dolby sound or laser lights during Ganeshotsav.
Ahead of Ganeshotsav, the police department had already spoken to office-bearers of Ganesh mandals to ensure that people, the elderly, small children, students and the sick are not troubled by DJ-Dolby sound and laser lights. Police had clearly appealed to mandals not to use DJ-Dolby sound and laser lights.
Responding positively to this appeal, all Ganesh mandals falling under the jurisdiction of Deoli police station have given a written undertaking to the police department that they will not use DJ-Dolby sound or laser lights. The decision by the mandals is being seen as significant for maintaining law and order, preventing noise pollution, protecting the environment and safeguarding people's health.
Describing Ganeshotsav as a festival of faith, devotion, social unity and cultural tradition, police said that, on instructions received from senior officials, Deoli police station is launching a new initiative called the Ganaraya Award 2026 with the aim of increasing social awareness through the festival.
With the aim of ensuring that public Ganesh mandals under the police station's jurisdiction celebrate Ganeshotsav in a safe, disciplined, environment-friendly and socially responsible manner, several programmes and competitions on different themes have been organised.
Bal Ganesh Mitra Mandal Samiti, Kala Maroti Mandir Chowk, Deoli, will present a street play on road safety awareness on the evening of September 18, 2026. Besides this, a health camp on various illnesses will be held on September 19, 2026, and that evening, NCC cadets of S.N.J. Mahavidyalaya, Deoli, will spread awareness on cyber-safe Ganeshotsav and the anti-drug campaign, themed "Reject drugs, accept life," through a street play. Along with this, a painting competition on the theme of de-addiction and the environment has been organised for school and college students on September 21, 2026.
Datt Mandir Bal Ganesh Mandal, Lokmanya Tilak Chowk, Deoli, will also hold a health camp on September 21, 2026. Meanwhile, Shri Navyuvak Ganesh Mandal, Bhidi, will present a skit on de-addiction, a painting competition and street plays on various themes.
Police have appealed to people to cooperate with the police administration during Ganeshotsav and to immediately contact the police station or the emergency helpline 112 if they come across anything suspicious or any information related to law and order.
