Medical store owner stabbed to death after rejecting marriage proposal in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A man was stabbed to death inside a medical store in the Harsul area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after his family rejected a marriage proposal. The deceased was identified as Faisal Qadir Shaikh. Police have arrested two accused, Rehan Amin Patel and Sameer Raees Shaikh, in the case.

According to police, Faisal Shaikh ran a shop called Lifeline Medical in Ayesha Manzil near Patel Lawns in Harsul. A few months ago, a marriage proposal for Faisal's sister had come for the accused Rehan, but it was turned down for family reasons. Initial police investigation found that Rehan had been upset with Faisal and his family ever since the proposal was rejected, and a dispute had developed between the two families. It is also alleged that the accused had been harassing Faisal's family, and that Rehan would ride his motorcycle loudly near the medical shop and his house, keeping tensions high between the two families.

Against this background, Rehan entered Lifeline Medical with his associates on Thursday afternoon. An argument broke out between Faisal and the accused, which first turned into a verbal spat and then escalated into a physical fight. According to initial police information, Rehan stabbed Faisal during this altercation, leaving him seriously injured. There was panic near the medical store after the incident, and people present along with Faisal's family rushed him to Ghati Hospital for treatment.

Faisal's treatment began at Ghati Hospital, but his condition remained critical. Doctors examined him and declared him dead.
