CAT 2026 application deadline ends today, apply now
The last date to apply for the Common Admission Test 2026 for MBA admissions is today, September 15.
Students filling the form for the Common Admission Test, or CAT 2026, for MBA admissions have important news. The IIMs have set today, September 15, as the last date to apply for the CAT 2026 exam. Candidates who have not yet filled the form for any reason should complete their application process on the official website today itself, as the application window will close after today.
On eligibility and criteria, candidates from the Open, EWS and NC-OBC categories need a graduation degree with at least 50 percent marks. Candidates from the SC, ST and PwBD categories need a degree with at least 45 percent marks. Candidates holding a professional degree, that is CA, CS, ICWA (CMA) or Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI), will also be considered eligible with the specified percentage. In addition, students currently in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for this exam.
The method to fill the online form is also simple. Candidates must first go to the official website, iimcat.ac.in. On the homepage, they must click the New Candidate Registration link, fill in the required information and register. After registration, they must click Registered Candidate Login and fill in the remaining details. After this, they must upload the necessary documents and pay the prescribed exam fee. After submitting the form, candidates should keep a printout of it for future reference.
On the application fee, candidates from the SC, ST and PwBD categories will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,350. All other categories, that is General, OBC and EWS candidates, will have to pay a fee of Rs 2,700.
On the exam schedule, according to official information, the IIM CAT 2026 exam will be held on November 29, 2026, at various exam centres across the country. For candidates who have applied, the admit card will be available for download from November 4, 2026.
