BGauss launches C12 Maxxer electric scooter with cruise control, claims 178 km range
BGauss has launched its C12 Maxxer electric scooter in India, aimed at daily commutes and long rides alike.
Electric two-wheeler maker BGauss has launched its new BGauss C12 Maxxer scooter in the Indian market. The company says the scooter is built for everyday use as well as long-distance rides. It comes with a cruise control feature, and the company claims it can run up to 178 km on a single full charge.
The scooter has a 3.8 kWh LFP battery. The motor's peak power goes up to 4.2 kW, and the top speed is said to be more than 75 km per hour. Riders can choose from three riding modes, Eco, Ride and Sport, depending on their needs. A reverse mode is also provided to make it easier to manoeuvre the scooter while parking or in tight spaces.
One of the scooter's standout features is its HyperZen in-wheel motor technology. The motor, gearing, brake and motor control unit are all fitted inside the wheel hub itself, removing the need for an external belt or chain. This is said to make maintenance of the scooter easier.
The company has also kept family use in mind with its features. The storage space under the seat is large enough to fit two helmets comfortably. It also has a pop-out holder for an umbrella, space for a phone and bottle, and wireless smartphone charging. A 5-inch TFT display shows all the necessary information.
For ride quality, the scooter has 12-inch alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, a hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and 5-step adjustable Nitrox gas-charged suspension at the rear. For safety, it gets a 220 mm front disc brake and a regenerative braking system. The scooter has a ground clearance of 160 mm and is said to be capable of carrying up to 150 kg.
The scooter is available in four premium colours, Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White and Satin Black.
