India and Afghanistan are playing a three-match T20 series, with the second match scheduled for Tuesday. But just ahead of this crucial game, Team India have suffered a setback with reports that star spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been injured.

The series opener was played on Monday, in which India beat Afghanistan by seven wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The Indian team put in a strong performance in both batting and bowling to win the match comfortably. The victory has boosted the team's confidence, and India will now look to seal the series in Tuesday's second T20.

But the news of Varun Chakaravarthy's injury ahead of this important match has become a cause for concern for Team India. Chakaravarthy is currently considered a key spin bowler for India's T20 side, and his ability to pick up wickets in the middle overs with his accurate bowling has been one of the team's major strengths. His injury has therefore added to the team's worries.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet issued any official statement on Varun's injury. It remains to be seen whether he will be able to play in Tuesday's match. There is also speculation that India's playing eleven could see changes because of his injury.

India's playing eleven for the first match was: Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Varma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar.
