Anil Kapoor says having two daughters is double the luck

Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, now 69, still has energy that would put younger stars to shame, and his love for work remains undiminished. He is set to host a new show, "India Ke Top 1%: The Anil Kapoor Show", airing from September 19 at 8 pm on Star Plus and JioHotstar. The show will feature not just games but also several emotional moments.

During the shoot, an incident left Anil Kapoor emotional. A contestant said he had taken a break from work for his family, as he felt it was more important to give his family time. Hearing this reminded Anil Kapoor of his own past, and he became emotional.

He then shared the toughest moment of his life with everyone. Anil said, "A lot of people think I work for my family. But I am only now learning how important it is to give time to family. Look at my sons-in-law, they manage to give time to both work and family. But when I was your age, I could not manage that."

He then shared something that left everyone silent. He said, "When my second daughter Rhea was about to be born, I was caught up in a shoot. I was shooting through the night and fell asleep. When I woke up, Rhea had already been born. I could not reach the hospital on time, I got there late. I have never been able to forgive myself for this."

He went on to say, "Having a daughter is a matter of luck, a bonus. And I have two daughters, Sonam and Rhea. So for me, it is a double bonus." His words brought tears to everyone present.
