Raj Thackeray targets political leaders on Prabodhankar Thackeray's birth anniversary

On the occasion of Prabodhankar Thackeray's birth anniversary, MNS chief Raj Thackeray drew attention with a post criticising current social conditions. He questioned the growing excess of enthusiasm in society, the noise around festivals and such celebrations.

In his post, Raj Thackeray wrote, "Today society has become overly fond of celebration and noise, and in the name of religion any blind belief has to be called faith, and if anyone asks a logical question about it, they are immediately branded anti-Hindu. In such times, we remember our grandfather even more intensely."

Raj Thackeray also shared his views on the poor practices prevalent in politics. He said that if society is getting entangled in or swept along by bad political traditions, society should stop in time. But the current situation appears to be the opposite. According to Raj Thackeray, leaders seem ready to bend wherever they get the opportunity, for the sake of votes and their own benefit. He said that if his grandfather were alive today, he would have struck hard at all these leaders through his writing, and this thought keeps coming to his mind repeatedly.

Raj Thackeray described Maharashtra's identity as the land of saints and reformers. He said Maharashtra has always followed this path of thought, and compared to other states, Maharashtra has a great strength of looking at things from a rational perspective. MNS chief Raj Thackeray expressed the wish that this strength should never diminish.

Raj Thackeray further said that the growth of this strength among the people of Maharashtra would be the true tribute to his grandfather. Along with this, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena paid humble tribute to the memory of Prabodhankar Thackeray.
