Amazon Now crosses $1 billion annual sales in India, orders doubling every quarter
Amazon says its quick-commerce service Amazon Now has crossed $1 billion in annualised sales in India within three months of launch
Amazon has said its ultra-fast delivery service Amazon Now has crossed $1 billion in annualised gross sales in India within the last three months. According to the company, orders on Amazon Now have been doubling every quarter since launch, making it the fastest-growing e-commerce business in Amazon India's history.
Ahead of the festive season, the company expanded Amazon Now to four times as many cities in under 10 weeks. The minutes-delivery service is now available in more than 60 cities and towns across India. Besides metro cities, customers in towns such as Padubidri, Tirupati, Guntur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Vellore, Dharwad, Warangal and Berhampur are also getting the service. These orders are delivered within minutes through a network of more than 750 micro-fulfilment and urban fulfilment centres.
Amazon India country manager Samir Kumar said Amazon Now crossed $1 billion in annualised gross sales in India in such a short span, making it the fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in Amazon India's history. He said orders are doubling every quarter and the company is delighted with the customer response. Kumar said the company is on track to reach 100 cities by Diwali, and is taking minutes-delivery from Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur in the north to Vembayam and Alamcode in the south. He said customers across the country can expect the fastest and widest range of deliveries this festive season.
In June 2026, Amazon had announced plans to expand Amazon Now to customers in more than 300 cities across the country to build India's largest minutes-delivery network. The company is continuing to expand its dedicated fulfilment infrastructure to give customers across the country the widest range of sellers' products at the time of their choosing. Thousands of products are delivered within minutes or a few hours, a range of more than a million products the same day, more than four million the next day, and lakhs of products with unlimited free Prime delivery.
Sellers on Amazon Now offer a wide range of everyday essentials, including groceries (fruits and vegetables, and frozen food), personal care, fashion and beauty products, as well as small appliances and home and kitchen products, all delivered within minutes.
