Vivo is preparing to launch a new phone in its popular V series in the Indian smartphone market. The upcoming phone is called the Vivo V80 and is set to launch in India soon. To build anticipation, the company has already put up microsites for the phone on both Amazon and Flipkart.
The company has also released official teasers of some of the phone's key features, sparking discussion among tech enthusiasts.
The V80's biggest highlight is expected to be its camera. The company has indicated that it will offer an iPhone-like cinematic video and photography experience. Coming with the tagline "Cinema, Reimagined", the phone will feature a powerful camera module with Zeiss branding.
The back of the phone may have an attractive design with a dual or triple camera setup. It is expected to feature a 50MP main sensor and a periscope lens, known for good zoom and portrait photography. The company has focused specifically on improving low-light photography. The phone is also expected to come with more than 30 AI effects and creative features such as "live sticker collage".
Another major highlight of the phone will be its powerful battery. According to reports, the phone could come with a 7200mAh battery, the largest in the V-series' history. It is also expected to support 90W fast charging as per TUV certification.
The phone may also come with a smooth display experience and a powerful Qualcomm processor. It is said to offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Vivo has not yet announced the exact launch date, but media reports suggest the phone could officially launch in the Indian market in the first week of October. Coming in modern colour options, the phone is set to give a strong challenge to premium smartphones on both pricing and features.
