36-year-old man dies by suicide at home in Wardha
A 36-year-old man was found hanging at his home in Wardha's Borgaon Meghe area; police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
A 36-year-old man died by suicide by hanging himself at his home in the Borgaon Meghe area of Wardha. The incident took place in Ganesh Nagar, Ward No. 3, near the Zilla Parishad school. The deceased has been identified as Nitin Ashokrao Gadhve.
On September 17, 2026, complainant Mukund Manoharrao Akotkar, a resident of the same Ganesh Nagar Ward No. 3 area in Borgaon Meghe, Wardha, reached Wardha City police station and gave an oral statement. He said his nephew, Nitin Ashokrao Gadhve, had died by suicide by tying a rope to the ceiling fan in the bedroom of his house and hanging himself.
Based on this oral statement, police head constable Vijay Panchatike registered a case at Wardha City police station under accidental death report number 80/2026, under section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police Inspector Nageshkumar Chatarkar of Wardha City police station sent Assistant Sub-Inspector Naresh Gawande and police staff to the spot for a preliminary investigation.
The police team removed the deceased's body from the house and sent it to the General Hospital, Wardha, for a post-mortem examination. Wardha City police are further investigating the case.
