Tata launches Sierra Legend Series, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh
Tata Motors has added a five-trim, 18-variant Legend Series to the Sierra lineup, priced from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh
Tata Motors has launched a new series of its popular Sierra SUV in the Indian market, called the Legend Series. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 11.99 lakh. The company says even the lower-priced variants now get more premium features than before. The Legend Series has five trims and 18 variants in all, and it will be sold alongside the existing Sierra range.
The five trims are Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L(O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. Prices range from Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.49 lakh for the top model, Adventure+ L. The company has emphasised offering more features across different budgets. The base variant, Smart+ L, gets features such as leatherette seats and interior, auto-folding ORVMs, steering-mounted controls and roof rails. The Pure L above it adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear camera, an 8-speaker audio system, cruise control and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
The Pure L(O) variant gets a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. The Pure+ L above it further enhances the premium experience with ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver seat, a thigh support extender, dual-zone climate control and Boss Mode. The company has also focused on giving rear passengers more comfort. Some Legend Series variants are priced roughly Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000 higher than their corresponding standard variants.
At the top is the Adventure+ L trim, which gets a 360-degree HD camera, front parking sensors, terrain modes, frequency-dependent dampers, two large screens, a rear seat recline function, ambient lighting, a cooled glovebox and wireless charging. There is no major change to the engines. The Sierra will continue to offer 1.5-litre engine options across petrol, diesel and turbo-petrol variants. Depending on the variant, manual, automatic and DCT gearbox options are also available. With the new Legend Series, the company has expanded the Sierra range by offering more features and a more premium cabin experience.
