Salman Khan slams trolls targeting Katrina Kaif on Bigg Boss

Celebrities are trolled on social media over everything from their looks to their weight, with trolls sometimes commenting on their personal lives without understanding the circumstances. Salman Khan raised this issue on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20 and had strong words for trolls, specifically referring to the trolling faced by actress Katrina Kaif.
Katrina Kaif faced trolling on social media after attending the Ambani family's Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai. Some users commented on her weight and looks, after which many people also came out in her support. Salman Khan addressed the matter and sharply criticised those trolling her.
Salman questioned people who commented on the weight and looks of the actress, who recently became a mother. He said gaining weight after pregnancy is completely normal. According to Salman, the actress will get back in shape once she returns to work, and until then she should be allowed to spend time with her family.
Referring to a comment made by YouTuber ScoutOP against contestant Arishfa Khan during a task on Bigg Boss 20, Salman spoke about social media trolling in general. He said people make money on social media by putting others down.
Salman also took to task those who troll celebrities over personal matters such as their body, weight, looks, family, career setbacks or motherhood. He said such comments actually reveal the troll's own upbringing and character.
Salman also targeted people who create fake accounts to hide their identity while trolling. He said that people who are themselves unhappy with their own appearance are the first to comment on others' faces and weight.
Speaking about the trolling he himself faces, Salman referred to comments made about his age and career setbacks. He said, "I have grown old, sure I have turned 60. You cannot always look like you did in Maine Pyar Kiya."
