BJP holds 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' event in Chandrapur to mark Modi's 25 years of service
BJP workers in Chandrapur lit lamps to thank PM Modi for 25 years of public service, part of a month-long "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan".
The BJP's Mahanagar office in Chandrapur held an 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' (Lamp of Blessings) programme with great enthusiasm on Thursday. The event marked the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for which the BJP is running a "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" (Service Resolution Campaign) from September 17 to October 17. Various service and social programmes are being organised during this period, and 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' is part of this campaign.
MLA Kishor Jorgewar was present at the event, along with office bearers and workers including vice president Balram Dodani, general secretary Ravindra Gurnule, Savita Dandhare, advocate Suresh Talewar, Prince Prasad, Akshay Shende, Kausar Khan, Nilima Vankar, Lata Brahmane, Sonali Itankar, Reena Sakharkar, Bhavna Barsagade, Sapna Satpute, Savita Brahmane, Meenakshi Upganlawar and Chhaya Chaware. They all took part in the programme by lighting lamps together.
The event was organised to express gratitude for Modi's 25 years of public service and to gather the public's blessings for him. It began at 7 pm, when BJP office bearers, workers and members of the public decided to join the campaign by lighting lamps at their homes. Lamps were also lit at the Chandrapur Mahanagar office, with MLA Kishor Jorgewar himself lighting the first lamp to begin proceedings.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kishor Jorgewar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had devoted a long period of his public life to serving the country. He said the 'Ashirwad Ka Diya' programme was organised in the spirit of seeking the public's blessings and good wishes for this work. He appealed to every section of society to join the campaign, which is being run in the spirit of service, dedication and national interest.
Jorgewar further said that various social and service-related programmes, as well as awareness drives, would be held through the coming month under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'. He said the campaign would strengthen the resolve for public service and try to take service work to different sections of society.
