Mahavitaran appoints four new executive directors
Ankur Kawale, Sandeep Patil, Chandramani Mishra and Sunil Kakade have taken charge as executive directors at Mahavitaran.
Mahavitaran carried out a deputation-based recruitment process for the posts of regional director and executive director, in which Ankur Kawale, Sandeep Patil, Chandramani Mishra and Sunil Kakade were selected. All four have recently taken charge. Before this appointment, all of them were working as chief engineers at different locations in Mahavitaran.
Executive Director Ankur Kawale was earlier posted as chief engineer (distribution) at headquarters. He holds a postgraduate degree in electrical engineering and a postgraduate diploma in management. Kawale joined the then Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 1997. He was later promoted and worked in various positions in Nashik, Ahilyanagar, Pune and Kolhapur. Since 2025 he had been working as chief engineer at the Mumbai headquarters.
Executive Director Sandeep Patil holds a degree in electrical engineering and joined the then Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 2003. He was selected as executive engineer through direct recruitment in 2009. He was promoted to superintending engineer in 2018 and to chief engineer in 2025. Sandeep Patil was working as chief engineer (power purchase) at headquarters.
Executive Director Chandramani Mishra earned his electrical engineering degree with distinction. He joined the then Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 2003. He was later promoted and worked in Alibag, Vashi, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Mumbai. He was selected as executive engineer through direct recruitment in 2009, became superintending engineer in 2018 and was promoted to chief engineer in 2024. Chandramani Mishra was working as chief engineer of the Kalyan circle.
Executive Director Sunil Kakade holds a degree in electrical engineering and joined the then Maharashtra State Electricity Board as an assistant engineer in 1997. He subsequently worked in various positions in Chalisgaon, Nashik, Bhusawal, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Kalyan, Ahilyanagar and Bhandup. Kakade was promoted to chief engineer in 2022. After the Bhandup circle, Sunil Kakade had been working as chief engineer of the Pune circle since 2025.
