Stock markets see both rallies and slumps, but some shares keep performing consistently. Cupid Limited, a company that makes condoms, has seen its shares rise sharply on Indian stock markets over the past four years. In that time, the company has given investors handsome returns, turning some into millionaires. It has also given its shareholders free bonus shares.

Cupid Limited's share price has risen from Rs 2.33 to Rs 279.70 in just four years. Investors who put in as little as Rs 1,00,000 have become millionaires simply by holding the stock. The company also issued bonus shares this year and has completed their distribution.

On Friday, when the market closed, Cupid Limited's shares ended up 1 percent at Rs 280 on the BSE. The stock has gained 79 percent over the past three months. Over the past six months, it has given positional investors a 221 percent return, while it has risen 596 percent over one year. Cupid Limited's 52-week high is Rs 298.95 and its low is Rs 38.20. The company's market capitalisation is Rs 37,650 crore. Over five years, the stock has gained 12,127 percent.

Investors who put money into the company's IPO four years ago would by now have made returns of more than Rs 1 crore. Those who invested three years ago have made a profit of Rs 66 lakh so far.

In March this year, the company's shares traded ex-bonus, after it issued 4 bonus shares for every 1 share held. Before that, in 2023, the shares had traded ex-bonus when the company issued 1 bonus share for every 5 shares held. According to BSE data, the company first issued bonus shares to investors in 2018, when it gave 1 bonus share for every 5 shares held. Notably, Cupid Limited's shares were also split in 2024, when the company divided its shares into 10 parts, reducing the face value per share by Rs 10.

On the company's financial performance, Cupid Limited posted a profit of Rs 44 crore in the first quarter, compared with a profit of Rs 15 crore in the same quarter last year.
