NTA releases exam calendar for major tests from December 2026 to March 2027

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released its official exam calendar for a number of important admission and eligibility tests to be held between December 2026 and March 2027. The calendar includes tentative dates for major exams such as UGC NET, CSIR UGC NET, JEE Main, CMAT and CUET PG.

The release of the calendar will make it easier for students preparing for these competitive exams to plan their studies and schedules. However, the NTA has made clear that all the dates are tentative and may be changed if required.

The UGC NET December 2026 session will be held between December 14 and 19, 2026, with December 20 and 21 kept as buffer dates. The joint CSIR UGC NET will be held on December 20 and 21, 2026.

The first session of JEE Main 2027 will be held on January 22, 23, 24 and 28, 29, 30, 2027, with January 31 kept as a buffer date. The Army Cadets College exam will be held on January 4, 2027, while CMAT 2027 is scheduled for February 7, 2027.

The first part of NITTT will be held on February 26 and 27, 2027. The CUET PG 2027 exam will be conducted over a continuous period of 17 days in March 2027. The second part of NITTT will be held on March 5 and 7, 2027.

Besides the major exams listed above, the new NTA calendar also includes several other national-level exams such as the Army Cadets College exam, the NIFT entrance exam and the Sainik School admission test.

The NTA has also clarified that this is only a calendar for planning the exam period and should not be treated as an official notification. A separate information bulletin containing full details of the application dates, exam centres, admit cards, answer keys and results for each exam will be released separately in due course.
