Makarand Anaspure, Gauri Ingawale to play father-daughter in 'Dashami'

The bond between a father and daughter, built on love, affection and emotion, is at the heart of the upcoming Marathi film 'Dashami'.

Presented by KNK Box, the film stars actor Makarand Anaspure and actress Gauri Ingawale as father and daughter, playing the roles of Prabhakar and Laxmi. The film will release in October and is directed by Yogesh Pandurang Bhosale.

In the story, Prabhakar sets aside all his own dreams and works his whole life to make his daughter Laxmi a doctor, facing many hardships along the way. Laxmi, a sensitive medical student, understands her father's hard work and tries to fulfil his dream of seeing her become a doctor as if it were her own.

Speaking about his role, Makarand Anaspure said, "Through the character of Prabhakar, I got to experience a father's love and longing for his daughter. Playing Prabhakar, who appears strong in front of his daughter while breaking down inside, was a journey that touched my heart."

His role brings out the emotional side of a father who works day and night for his daughter's future.

Gauri Ingawale plays the role of Laxmi in the film. Speaking about her character, she said the relationship between Laxmi and her father is simple yet touching, and that Laxmi knows well that her father's hard work lies behind all her dreams.

Laxmi's world changes after a crisis in her life. Gauri said that portraying her love for her father and the emotional closeness that follows this change was an emotional experience for her.
