Bhandara: Postal Life Insurance scheme seeks direct agent applications
India Post has invited applications for direct agent posts under the Postal Life Insurance scheme in Bhandara district, with applications due by September 23.
The Indian Postal Department has invited applications for direct recruitment of agents under its Postal Life Insurance scheme in Bhandara district. Interested candidates can apply, and application forms are available at the nearest post office.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have passed at least the tenth standard. Unemployed or self-employed educated youths, former life insurance advisors, former agents of insurance companies, ex-servicemen, anganwadi workers, mahila mandal workers and retired teachers can also apply. However, applicants must not currently be an agent for any other insurance company.
Candidates will be selected directly through an interview, where their professional skills, personality, ability to communicate with people and knowledge of life insurance will be assessed. Selected candidates will have to deposit a security amount of Rs 5,000, to be held in the form of NSC or KVP.
After selection, candidates must clear the Insurance Institute of India examination within three months of the date of selection, after which they will be issued a license. Selected agents will be paid commission fixed by the postal department from time to time.
Interested candidates must send their applications by speed post to the Superintendent, Nagpur Rural Division, third floor, City Post Office, Itwari, Nagpur-440002, by September 23. Candidates from Bhandara district will be interviewed at Bhandara Post Office at 12 noon on September 28.
Candidates must bring the required educational certificates, PAN card, Aadhaar card and other necessary documents for the interview. A copy of the tenth or twelfth standard board certificate, proof of date of birth, copies of PAN card and Aadhaar card, and a computer knowledge certificate (if any) must be attached with the application.
