Family in Kumbhari creates striking Ashtavinayak display at home for Ganeshotsav
The Swami family in Kumbhari village, Dakshin Solapur, has drawn crowds with a home display depicting the eight forms of Ashtavinayak Ganpati.
On the occasion of Gauri-Ganpati festival, Kumbhari village in Dakshin Solapur taluka is witnessing a striking blend of religious devotion and art. The home of former gram panchayat member Parvati Shivanand Swami features an attractive and captivating display of Shri Ashtavinayak Ganpati this year.
The display has become a major attraction for Ganesh devotees from the village and the surrounding area, with large numbers of devotees visiting for darshan and praising the Swami family's creative effort.
The Swami family has a tradition of presenting displays based on religious, cultural and social themes every year during Gauri-Ganpati festival. This year they chose the concept of Ashtavinayak, regarded as the presiding deities of Maharashtra. Different forms of Ganpati have been depicted together in one place, and the artistic craftsmanship, attractive lighting arrangements, decoration and detailed ornamentation of each idol are drawing devotees' attention.
Members of the Swami family worked for a full twenty days to prepare the display. Manoj Swami, Vinayak Swami, Vishwesh Swami, Pooja Swami, Shreyansh Swami and other family members planned and prepared the decoration and display together. Created in a home setting, the display has become an excellent example of both religious sentiment and art.
Through this initiative during Ganeshotsav, a message of religious values, traditional values and social unity is being conveyed. This is why villagers as well as devotees from the surrounding area are visiting the display in large numbers.
BJP leader Bipin Karjole also visited the Swami family's home for darshan of the Ashtavinayak display, and praised the family's creativity during his visit. This combination of religious devotion, cultural preservation and artistic presentation has become a talking point in the Kumbhari area.
The attractive decoration of the different forms of Ashtavinayak, along with the decoration and lighting arrangements, has made the display special for devotees. Getting darshan of all the Ashtavinayak forms in one place has drawn an enthusiastic response from Ganesh devotees in the surrounding area.
