iPhone 18 Pro series goes on sale Thursday with A20 Pro chip, 48MP cameras
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, unveiled at its September 9 event, go on sale from September 18 with new pricing and cashback offers.
Apple launched its new iPhone 18 Pro series a few days ago, comprising the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Sales of both phones begin tomorrow, September 18. The company had launched the two smartphones at its "Surprise and Shine" event held on September 9.
Buyers purchasing the new iPhone from Apple's official website can get an instant cashback of up to Rs 7,000. Exchanging an old phone will bring an additional discount on the price.
On pricing, the 256GB storage model of the iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900, while the largest 2TB model is priced at Rs 3,14,900. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900, and its 2TB variant costs Rs 3,29,900.
Both phones can be bought with an instant cashback of Rs 7,000 when purchased on Apple's website using an eligible bank card. This brings the effective price of the iPhone 18 Pro down to Rs 1,57,900 and the Pro Max to Rs 1,72,900. Additionally, exchanging an old phone can fetch an exchange value of Rs 45,000 to Rs 81,500, depending on the old phone's model, condition and other terms.
On features, the iPhone 18 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max gets a 6.9-inch 120Hz LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display. Both phones support HDR10 and Dolby Vision, and their peak brightness can go up to 3,000 nits. They also come with Ceramic Shield 2 and an anti-reflective coating.
For performance, both phones are powered by the new A20 Pro chipset, built on a 2nm process. The phones will be available with up to 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Both phones run on iOS 27.
On the camera front, both phones get a triple rear camera setup comprising a 48MP primary camera, a 48MP periscope telephoto camera and a 48MP ultrawide camera. The telephoto camera supports 4x optical zoom. The setup also includes a LiDAR sensor and an 18MP front camera.
On battery, the new iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback on the eSIM model, while the Pro Max offers up to 45 hours of video playback. Both phones will be available in Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black colours.
