The Disha Salian death case has taken a fresh turn after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered an FIR following an order from the Bombay High Court. The FIR is said to have been filed on the basis of a statement by Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian. Following this development, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray spoke on the issue for the first time.

Several names are reported to have come up in connection with the Disha Salian case, including Aaditya Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray, Anil Deshmukh, Param Bir Singh, Sachin Vaze, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea and Rhea Chakraborty.

Speaking on the matter, Uddhav Thackeray alleged that he was being defamed for political reasons. He said, "My name has come up too. Yours will too. There is no connection whatsoever. I don't even know her. How long will we keep tolerating this."

Continuing, Uddhav Thackeray said there was a political motive behind the case. He said, "Narendra Modi and Donald Trump's names will come up too. Why is my name being taken. This is politically motivated. We stayed quiet. There has just been needless character assassination, otherwise we too will take the legal route. We have no connection to this."

Aaditya Thackeray also put out his response on X. He clarified that he never met Disha Salian and had no acquaintance with her at all. He claimed that attempts have been made over the past few years to link his name to the case with political motives and an intent to defame him.

Aaditya Thackeray also demanded that investigating agencies probe the matter fairly and without any political interference. Attention, including in political circles, is now on the further investigation and CBI's action in the case.
