New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is witnessing a significant rise in interest among young people, with more than 1.23 lakh people registering online to join the organisation between January and July 2026 .
According to figures released by RSS All India Publicity Chief Sunil Ambekar , a total of 1,23,287 people registered through the organisation’s ‘Join RSS’ online campaign during the first seven months of 2026.
The data indicates strong participation from younger age groups. Around 65% of those registering are below the age of 30 , while approximately 85% are below 40 , highlighting increased interest among younger Indians in the organisation during its centenary year.
The growth is particularly notable when compared with the same period last year. Between January and July 2025, 55,423 people had registered online to join the RSS. The figure increased to 1,23,287 during the corresponding period in 2026 , representing more than a two-fold rise.
The month of July also recorded a sharp increase. In July 2025, 9,718 people registered through the online platform. The number rose to 24,086 in July 2026 .
The surge comes as the RSS marks its centenary year , making the growing participation of younger people particularly significant for the organisation’s future expansion.
Meanwhile, the RSS’s All India Coordination Meeting is underway at Vijnana Vihar Vidyalaya in Gudilova, near Visakhapatnam.
The meeting is expected to discuss issues including population imbalance, de-addiction and a comprehensive Indian development model .
Senior representatives from 32 organisations associated with the RSS are participating in the meeting. These include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh and Rashtra Sevika Samiti .
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat , General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale and other senior functionaries are also attending the meeting.
The sharp rise in online registrations, particularly among people below 30, comes at a crucial moment for the RSS as it enters its second century. The organisation is increasingly focusing on expanding its outreach and connecting with younger sections of society through digital platforms and grassroots activities.
