NAGPUR: A 28-year-old woman was found dead and a man was seriously injured inside Room No. 302 of a hotel in Manish Nagar, Nagpur, on Tuesday night. Police found the woman covered in blood and a knife lying inside the room. The injured man was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he is undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Shivani Rajanand Gajbhiye (28) , reportedly a resident of the Shatabdi Chowk area in Ajni. The injured man has been identified as Kiran Sanjay Atram , aged around 28-30 years and reportedly a resident of Ajni Railway Colony.

Rose Petals on the Bed, Blood on the Floor

According to preliminary information, the bed inside Room 302 of Hotel Storin had been decorated with rose petals. What initially appeared to be preparations for a special meeting soon turned into a violent scene.

Shivani reportedly sustained multiple stab injuries, while her head was also found covered in blood. Blood was scattered across the room and the belongings inside were found in a disturbed condition.

A knife was recovered from the room and has become a key piece of evidence in the investigation.

What Happened Inside Room 302?

Shivani and Kiran reportedly checked into the hotel on Tuesday and took Room 302. At around 9.30 pm , hotel staff heard screams and rushed towards the room.

After the door was opened, both individuals were found seriously injured and covered in blood. Hotel management immediately informed Beltarodi Police , following which a police team reached the spot.

Both were taken to hospital. Doctors declared Shivani dead, while Kiran was admitted in critical condition.

Marriage Dispute Being Probed

The circumstances surrounding the incident have raised questions about the relationship between the two.

Police are reportedly examining a possible dispute related to marriage. Shivani was reportedly employed with the Railways on compassionate grounds following the death of her father. Kiran is also said to be associated with the Railways.

Investigators are trying to determine whether the two had previous disagreements over their relationship or marriage and what exactly happened after they entered the hotel room.

Why did they meet at the hotel? Was a decision regarding their marriage expected to be taken? Did an existing dispute suddenly turn violent?

Was the Knife Brought to the Hotel?

Police are also examining the possibility that the knife may have been brought to the hotel by the injured man. However, this remains part of the investigation and has not been conclusively established.

Investigators are examining the hotel’s CCTV footage to establish when the two arrived, whether anyone accompanied them, their movements before entering Room 302 and whether anyone else was present around the time of the incident.

Police Probe Multiple Angles

The combination of rose petals on the bed, blood inside the room, the recovered knife and the circumstances in which the woman was found dead has raised several questions.

Police are investigating all possible angles, including whether a dispute between the two led to the fatal attack and whether the injured man may have attempted to harm himself after the incident.

The statement of Kiran, once his condition permits questioning, is expected to be crucial in establishing the sequence of events.

For now, Room 302 remains at the centre of the investigation , as police work to reconstruct what happened inside the Manish Nagar hotel and determine the circumstances that led to Shivani’s death.
