Three held in Nagpur for flaunting weapons in viral social media video

Nagpur: Flaunting weapons on social media has landed three young men in trouble, with the Yashodhara Nagar Police arresting them after a video showing them displaying deadly weapons went viral.

According to police, the three accused had recently uploaded a video on social media in which they were allegedly seen brandishing weapons. After the video came to the police’s notice, officers launched an investigation and began searching for those involved.

Meanwhile, a police team patrolling near Naka No. 2 and Majri Nala in the Yashodhara Nagar police station limits noticed three youths travelling suspiciously on a two-wheeler. The officers stopped them and conducted a search.

The suspects were identified as Nilesh Bawne, Sheikh Moinuddin alias Rahim Sheikh Karim and Mohammed Kaif Hasamuddin Ansari. Police allegedly recovered deadly weapons from their possession and also seized the two-wheeler on which they were travelling.

During the investigation, police established that the trio was also wanted in connection with the viral social media video showing weapons being flaunted.

The three accused have been arrested and further investigation is underway. Police are now trying to ascertain the source of the weapons and determine the motive behind displaying them on social media.
