Nagpur: The Crime Branch Unit-3 has busted an inter-district burglary and vehicle theft network operating across Nagpur city and Wardha district, arresting six accused, including two juveniles in conflict with the law. The operation led to the detection of five criminal cases, four house burglaries and one vehicle theft, and the recovery of stolen property worth approximately Rs 15.63 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Bhushan alias Mosa, Gaurav Khadse, Krish Jaiswal and Aman Bisen Sahani, along with two 17-year-old juveniles. All six were taken into custody after a sustained investigation by Crime Branch Unit-3.

According to police, the breakthrough came during the investigation of a burglary registered in Wardha. CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene provided crucial leads, enabling the Crime Branch to identify and trace the suspects. The accused were subsequently detained and questioned, during which they allegedly confessed to their involvement in multiple property offences committed in Nagpur and Wardha.

During the operation, police recovered around five kilograms of stolen silver ornaments and silver utensils valued at approximately Rs 11.80 lakh. Officers also seized stolen mobile phones, headphones and cash believed to be proceeds of the crimes.

Police further recovered a stolen Honda Activa scooter that had allegedly been used during the commission of the offences, along with a Royal Enfield motorcycle. Five mobile phones were also seized from the accused. The total value of the recovered property has been estimated at Rs 15.63 lakh.

The investigation revealed the accused’s alleged involvement in five cases registered at Lakadganj, Ajni and Ramnagar police stations in Nagpur, as well as Wardha City and Seloo police stations in Wardha district. These include four house burglary cases and one vehicle theft case.

After completing the accused’s medical examination, Crime Branch officials handed them over, along with the recovered property, to the respective police stations for further investigation and legal action.

Police said further investigations are underway to determine whether the accused were involved in additional property crimes in the region and to identify any other members of the network.
