Odisha to Host 48th All India Public Relations Conference for First Time

BHUBANESWAR, August 20, 2026: Odisha will host the prestigious 48th All India Public Relations Conference (AIPRC-2026) for the first time in the nearly five-decade history of the national conference.

Governor of Odisha Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati unveiled the official poster and brochure of AIPRC-2026 at a special ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday.

Organised by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and hosted by its Bhubaneswar Chapter, the three-day conference will be held from December 25 to 27, 2026 , in Bhubaneswar.

‘NAVAGUNJARA’ to Focus on PR in the Age of AI

The conference will be held under the theme “NAVAGUNJARA – Public Relations in the Age of AI.” Inspired by Odisha’s iconic Navagunjara motif, the theme symbolises the harmonious coming together of diverse forms into a unified whole.

The conference will examine how Artificial Intelligence, human intelligence, creativity, ethics, cultural understanding and empathy can work together to build trust, credibility and reputation in an increasingly technology-driven communication environment.

Speaking at the poster and brochure unveiling, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati said it was a matter of immense pride that Odisha was hosting the national PR conference for the first time.

He said the theme “Navagunjara” reflects Odisha’s rich cultural heritage while also embracing the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence. He extended his best wishes to PRSI and its Bhubaneswar Chapter for the successful organisation of the conference and expressed hope that communication professionals and experts from across the country would participate.

Communication Leaders to Converge in Bhubaneswar

AIPRC-2026 is expected to bring together professionals from public relations, corporate communication, media, government, business, academia and allied sectors from across India.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI , said the conference would explore the opportunities created by Artificial Intelligence while reaffirming the ethical, cultural and human values that remain at the heart of effective public relations.

He said Bhubaneswar, with its rich heritage and growing reputation as a centre of innovation, was an ideal setting for the national dialogue.

Senior PRSI Officials Attend Ceremony

The unveiling ceremony was attended by senior national and regional office-bearers of PRSI, including PRSI National President Dr. Ajit Pathak, Secretary General Dr. PLK Murthy, Conference Convenor Dr. Sanjay Kumar Sahoo, Co-Convenor Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and Chapter Treasurer Ansuman Pattnayak .

Apart from professional discussions and knowledge-sharing, the conference will offer participants an opportunity to experience Odisha’s cultural heritage, art, traditions and hospitality .

AIPRC-2026 is thus expected to serve as a platform combining professional knowledge, technological innovation, ethical communication and cultural exchange .
