30-Year-Old Man’s Body Found in Sonegaon Lake, Nagpur

Nagpur : Panic spread in the Sonegaon area on Friday morning after the body of a 30-year-old man was found floating in Sonegaon Lake. The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kuvarlal Katरे, a resident of Sonegaon Basti who worked as a chef at a hotel. He had been missing since Thursday morning.

According to preliminary information, local residents spotted the body of a young man floating in the lake early Friday morning and immediately alerted the police control room.

A police team reached the spot and, with the assistance of local divers, recovered the body from the lake. During the initial investigation, the deceased was identified as Ajay Katरे.

According to Ajay’s family members, he returned home after completing his duty on Wednesday night. After having dinner, he went to his room to sleep.

When the family found him missing from his room on Thursday morning, they searched nearby areas and contacted relatives. However, after failing to locate him, the family lodged a missing person complaint with the police.

The discovery of Ajay’s body in the lake left his family devastated. Police have sent the body for a post-mortem examination.

It is yet to be established whether Ajay died by suicide or whether there was another reason behind his death. Police are investigating the matter and are awaiting the post-mortem report and other findings to determine the exact cause of death.
